Putnam calls on Jennings to concede
Rep. Adam Putnam is calling on Democrat Christine Jennings to concede to Vern Buchanan in the 13th District Congressional race. The Bartow Republican said the official recount increased Buchanan's margin of victory and there's been no proof of a machine malfunction. "The recount has merely confirmed the election night results," said Putnam. "Additional legal actions would needlessly call in to doubt the election process and hurt the people of Florida's 13th District who need a representative in the next Congress. It is time for Christine Jennings to concede and allow Congressman-elect Buchanan to focus on the needs of the people."
