Sen. Lynn's Prayer

It's not often the War in Iraq comes up on the floor of the Florida Senate, but it did Wednesday, smack in the middle of the opening prayer by Republican state Sen. Evelyn Lynn of Ormond Beach:

"Dear God...We ask that you watch over those in the armed forces who have given and are endangering their lives -- in a war that seems to defy all understanding and strategy. In this conundrum, we ask that you help us to be tolerant -- wise -- and patient as we strive to protect people's freedom and safety throughout the world, while our own shores remain protected from so many horrors of inhumanity."
