Joe Redner: Cut property taxes 30 percent

Tampa City Council candidate Joe Redner says he's a simple man and he has a simple solution to Tampa's property tax problem: Slash the rate by 30 percent. Sound crazy? Well, Redner's proposal would cost the city about $51-mililon. Gov.Charlie Crist's proposal would cost $31-million, not including the cost of making the Save Our Homes cap portable.
