Baxley makes his move

Baxley With a week left in legislative session, Rep. Dennis Baxley is gearing up for a competitive Senate District 3 race. This sign popped up over the weekend at Thomasville and Seventh in Tallahassee - ensuring it will be seen by lobbyists, state workers and others heading to and from work.

Records show Baxley has loaned his campaign $101,500. The Senate seat is being vacated by Nancy Argenziano, who will soon join the Public Service Commission. Others vying for the spot include Rep. Charles Dean of Inverness and former House staffer Richard Corcoran of Crystal River. Both are Republicans. The primary is June 5 and general election June 26.
