GOP women's club feud resolved?

Now that state GOP Chairman Jim Greer seems to have negotiated a truce of sorts between the state party and the Florida Republican Women's Network (the group of prominent Republican activists booted last year from the national Federation of Republican Women), perhaps we should expect Charlie Crist to return home having resolved the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Greer tonight is touting a "win-win" resolution to the Network's fury over having been instructed to apply for a state charter and permission to use the word "Republican" in its title: The Network is authorized (which can be revoked) to use "Republican,'' but won't be chartered by the state GOP, unlike the rival GOP women's club, the Florida New Federation of Republican Women.

"One group wants to have a very close relationship with the state party ... Another organization does not wish to have a close relationship with the party but wishes to promote Republicans and elect Republican candidates,'' said Greer, who inherited this issue that gives Buzz a migraine to deal with. "We found what I consider to be an appropriate response to ensure party unity and to resolve a longstanding conflict."
