Rubio honored for 'outstanding public service'

During today's meeting of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, House Speaker Marco Rubio was awarded the Edward R. Roybal Award for Outstanding Public Service.

"NALEO is proud to present this year's award to the Honorable Marco Rubio, who has followed in our distinguished Founder's footsteps as an exemplary public servant and leader for the Latino community," the group said, citing his success in becoming speaker, "100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future" and work on property taxes.
