Crist's political juice
These Florida Chamber poll numbers are a bit dated (9/6-10, 1000 likely voters by Insider Advantage/Majority Opinion Research), but still relevant and stunning. "Governor Charlie Crist enjoys strong popularity throughout the state and across party lines. Support from Governor crist will be critical to the passage of any amendment on property taxes.
Sixty-nine percent of voters have a favorable view of Charlie Crist and 24 percent unfavorable.
"Even more astoundingly, Governor Crist’s job approval numbers are even higher, proving that Florida voters not only strongly approve of Crist himself, but of his ability to affect policy and make decisions.
"When asked “Do you approve or disapprove of the job performance of Governor Charlie Crist,” voters responded: Approve – 79.3%, Disapprove – 20.7%"
