Who needs candidates?

u100_0097 100_0088 Lots of energy and rowdiness among the Democrats at Disney today, despite the snubbing from their leading presidential candidates. They did get one energizing top tier politician to show up - George w. Bush, or least an impersonator, who downplayed the impact of the Democrat's Florida boycott: "What can it cost you, a couple hundred votes? When has a couple hundred votes ever made a difference?"

Alcee Hastings was a big crowd pleaser: "Even though you don't see those candidates here today they're here in the person of each of you who supports weach one of them! And it's clear that we are going to a place that's higher - and it is a black man, and  a woman and a Latino and white man ... We'll be with them in Dade and we'll be with them in Dade City and we'll be with them in Daytona and we'll be with them in Deltona. And we'll be with them in Denver! I assure you Florida Democrats will be seated at next year's convention and Florida Democrats will be the reason America celebrates a Democratic inauguration!"

Check out the Gelber sign - which is unclear as to whether it's FL or US Senate he's after. Hmmmm.
