Crist talks ethics, climate change in the bayou

Gov. Charlie Crist went to Baton Rouge today and met with the man who could give him a run for emerging star of the Republican Party -- Gov.-elect Bobby Jindal.

The politicians discussed Florida's attempts to bring down property insurance and the need for a national catastrophe fund. They also discussed ways to address climate change by increasing ethanol production.

Jindal is a bit of a phenomenon. The 36-year-old son of Indian immigrants graduated from Brown University and was a Rhodes scholar. He won decisively on a platform that included changing Louisiana's reputation for political corruption, which is why Crist brought along a copy of Florida's ethics laws.
