Easing into work after the Super Bowl

CFO Alex Sink some advice for gov't schedulers: No early morning meetings after the big game.

Arriving just after 8:30 to a My Safe Florida Home advisory panel meeting, Sink joked that program coordinator Tami Torres must not be a sports fan. "Tami, no more meetings 8:30 Monday morning," Sink said.

Sink apologized to panel members from far-flung areas who had to come to Tallahassee on Sunday night, thus limited to watching the game from a hotel or bar.

Craig Fugate arrived an hour late. There was a lot of fog driving up from Gainesville, he explained. "You sure it wasn't a Super Bowl delay?" asked Sen. Mike Bennett. "Not for the Patriots, sir," Fugate replied.
