Crist doesn't like 'clean hands'

Earlier today, the Buzz asked Gov. Charlie Crist for his thoughts on a bill to automatically compensate the wrongfully convicted, but only if they do not have a prior felony.

"I don't know," he said of the "clean hands" clause.

That sounded like a dodge.

But Crist said he would look into the issue and get back to us. This afternoon, he did. In a voice message, the governor signaled he was not a fan of the provision. "I believe in forgiveness. I think they should have the opportunity for a second chance."
