Fight brewing: State vs National Dems?

During a press conference touting a mail-in redo election on Wednesday, state Senate Minority Leader Steve Geller was asked about the Democratic Congressional delegation who dismissed efforts to redo the primary a day earlier.

Geller said the Congressional delegation didn't have all the details of the mail-in ballot proposal that's in the works, when they came up with their decision. "The Congressional delegation, unfortunately, had not been fully briefed," he said, implying they might change their minds now that they know the full story.

Not so, say Congressional delegates.

"We don't think a revote is the way to go," said U.S. Rep. Ron Klein
late Wednesday, confirming he's sticking to his guns. "I just think
it's too complicated, too short a period of time. There’s probably a
simpler answer. It’s the two candidates sitting down together and
coming up with something they can both be comfortable with."

“I heard it, and I don’t love it,” U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler said of
the mail-in plan. The plan was panned by voters who showed up to
several town hall meetings in his district Monday, and he said he
believes the mail-in option couldn’t help but disenfranchise Democratic
voters.
“Seniors who are snowbirds are going to have a difficult time getting
ballots, college students, people who rent – it’ll be a calamity,” he
said.

Wexler, who supports Obama, also dismissed Geller’s poll as “not credible.”
