Florida Red & Blue picks up money & staff

Florida Red & Blue, the group that's fighting Amendment 2, which would put into the Constitution a ban against recognizing same-sex marriage and civil unions in Florida, has picked up new staff including: Michael Kenny, deputy manager; Craig T. Smith, general consultant who was a former Clinton White House political director; Marcia Monserrat, South Florida political and finance; Jay Lasita, Central Florida field leader who was a St. Petersburg City Council member and Doug Sterner, South Florida field leader.

Jeffrey Garcia of Rindy/Miller Media, Joe Fuld of MSHC Partners and Pierson Grant Public Relations are the campaign's communications outfit.

Also, the group touts raising $470,000 in campaign contributions for the past fundraising cycle.
