U.S. Rep. Boyd taps gas outrage

It's not only Republicans who are capitalizing on outrage over prices at the pump. U.S. Rep. Allen Boyd, a conservative Democrat from the panhandle, has begun sending this mailer to constituents.

He somewhat vaguely expresses support for "responsible domestic drilling" in approved areas and invites people to participate in a "telephone town hall" next Wednesday. Looks like a campaign mailer, right? But because it does not urge people to vote for Boyd, he was able to use taxpayer money to produce and send it out.
