FL Chamber poll: McCain 42%, Obama 39%

“It’s all tied up for the presidential candidates here in Florida and we expect our state to become increasingly important to both campaigns in the coming weeks,” said Marian Johnson, vice president of Political Strategy for the Florida Chamber of Commerce.  “A new factor in this polling data is the inclusion of other candidates as another option for voters in addition to McCain and Obama.  We have to keep in mind that Florida voters will see more than the two major party presidential candidates on their ballots and some will vote for them.”

The statewide poll was conducted by August 18-21, 2008 by the Florida Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with James T. Kitchens of The Kitchens Group, a nationally renowned polling firm based in Orlando.  605 registered voters statewide were surveyed. Moe +/- 4%. More here.
