McCollum promotes his press secretary

Attorney General Bill McCollum's press secretary Sandi Copes got a promotion today, to communications director.

"I have full confidence that she will continue her exemplary service to the benefit of Florida's media and public," McCollum said.

Copes, of Malabar in Brevard County, has served with the AG's Office for nearly five years, beginning in economic crimes and moving to the communications in 2005. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in communication and political science from Florida State University. Copes, 24, will earn $64,000.
