Palin, McCain to Florida soon

Rep. Adam Putnam, R-Bartow, tells the Buzz that the GOP presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain, and his winsome running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, should be coming to the Sunshine State soon: McCain is expected in the Tampa Bay area "in couple of weeks," while Palin is expected to visit the Jacksonville area next month.

Putnam says he expects Palin to campaign in Florida a good bit and that constituents back home in Polk County have all kinds of questions about her:

"'Have you met her? What's she like? Is she coming to Central Florida? We'd love to meet her,'" Putnam recounts. "I mean, ah, you know, she's a, a ..."

Buzz: "She's a celebrity!"

Putnam laughs. "She's a valuble addition to the ticket."
