State high court says no redo on casino case

The Florida Supreme Court moved on Thursday to deny Gov. Charlie Crist's request for a rehearing on the Seminole tribal case. The ruling was 6-1 to deny the rehearing. Only Justice Fred Lewis disagreed.

In July, the Florida Supreme Court struck down Crist's casino gambling compact with the Seminole Tribe, ruling that he lacked authority to unilaterally forge a deal. House Speaker Marco Rubio, a Miami Republican and gambling opponent, filed the original suit in November.
