Marks files to replace Culp

Republican Todd Marks has filed to run for the Florida House District 57 seat that represents South Tampa, Town 'N Country and Westchase. Republican Faye Culp holds the post but will have to vacate the position in 2010 because of term limits.

Marks is a small-business owner who founded Westchase Law and Westchase Title. He earned his law degree at George Mason University and a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Cincinnati.

"I am optimistic we can keep Tampa great by providing a world-class education for our children and by implementing policies that will attract entrepeneurs and 21st century jobs to our community," Marks said. "Floridians want more and better jobs, affordable health care and insurance, lower taxes for businesses and families, a pristine natural environment, a stable housing market and a more responsive and efficient government. I will do my best to see that we achieve these goals," Marks said in a press release.
