Poll: 73% dig Crist
We're mired in an economic collapse, an insurance crisis, an ethics scandal at the top of the GOP in Tallahassee. So what do Florida voters say about the main man in charge, Charlie Crist? An astronomical 73 percent approve of the job he's doing, according to a new poll released by the Florida Chamber.
"Gov. Charlie Crist’s approval rating is again rising, up from 68 percent in the November Florida Chamber of Commerce poll," said Marian Johnson, vice president of political affairs for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. "Clearly Florida voters appreciate the governor fighting to put people back to work during the past few months, and this rising approval rating reflects that."
The poll was conducted for the Florida Chamber Political Institute by Public Insight Research, the polling arm of Cherry Communications. The poll surveyed 610 "likely Florida voters" from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
