Anti-Crist-for-Senate group ramps up

That KeepCharlieCrist group starting today is launching online ads at Miamiherald.com; tampabay.com (St. Pete Times); heraldtribune.com (Sarasota); and tbo.com (Tampa Trib) directing people to its petition calling on Gov. Charlie Crist to stay where he is rather than run for U.S. Senate.

"Since a majority of Floridians want Governor Crist to stay on the job, we hope to present the Governor with a substantial number of signatures by May 1. Switching from the Governor's race to the Senate race puts both seats at jeopardy for the GOP: we have no strong candidate for Governor and Crist will learn that voters resent his leaving Tally without fulfilling his campaign pledges on property taxes and lowering Insurance rates," said Ivor Hill, of the Keep Crist project.
