Did Charlie Crist lie?

Rich Text Area.

When we asked Gov. Charlie Crist last week if he'd exceed U.S. Senate
disclosure rules and supply the press with his campaign finance figures in a
commonly used database format, the Republican candidate was quick to say "We'd
be happy to...We'd be happy to accommodate to the very best of our abilities...
We'd be happy to try, sure."

Now, Crist reversed himself.

"I said that we would try and I found that it is challenging -- challenging I
guess, in one way, because we were relatively successful. We'll adhere to the
letter of the law. And we think that's important to do," Crist said.

Q: But all you have to do is attach the data in an email and send it along.
Why not?

Crist: "We'll adhere to the letter of the law and look forward to doing so
and all the data is available to anybody who wants it."

Q: What about disclosing a list of your bundlers?

Crist: "We'll adhere to the letter of the law and I think that it's imporant
to do so."

Q: What changed your mind?

Crist: "Nothing has."

Q: But you did change your mind though.

Crist: "No I said we'd try."

Q: But you're not.

Crist, who was heading out in his SUV, closed the door and left without answering.
