Bay County GOP prefers Marco Rubio to Charlie Crist

Angry-mob Another day, another Republican executive committee straw poll where Marco Rubio thumps Charlie Crist. From the News Herald in Panama City: "Rubio got 23 votes; Gov. Charlie Crist received two votes, and two members voted for none of the above. ... Crist has not fared well in REC straw polls statewide, a possible indication that he has not won over the party faithful. ...

“Charlie Crist may very well win … but he needs to prove why he deserves a U.S. Senate nomination as far as the Republican Party is concerned,” said Jonathan Hayes, state committeeman for the Bay County REC."

Broward County's REC, meanwhile, held off on a straw vote after a contentious meeting last night.
