Congressman Allen Boyd, glutton for punishment

B000716 U.S. Rep. Allen Boyd has some stones. While other members of congress are squeamish about holding town halls, given the outrage and mayhem over health care reform, Boyd has scheduled 14 this month across the Panhandle and North Florida.

A member of the Blue Dog Democrats, the moderate-conservative caucus that helped slow down the House health care bill, it will be interesting to see how Boyd reacts to criticism over the plan. He shares concern about the cost, the impact on small business and thinks a public plan should come only if reforms to the private system do not work.
