Dan Webster gets a nod for run against Alan Grayson

Republicans are still trying to determine the best candidate to take on Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando. After House Speaker Larry Cretul's exit, we asked state Rep. Steve Precourt if he was still interested. In an e-mail, he suggested former Sen. Dan Webster could be the man.

I am a big fan of Senator Dan Webster, but am keeping my powder dry for now. It seems best to stand back and let Congressman Grayson self destruct for the time being, as he is doing quite a good job of it. Combining his financial shenanigans with hiding from his constituents in the Obama "Health-Welfare scheme" debate is a great formula for ensuring his legacy as a one-termer.
