Is Mike Bilirakis blowing off the senate vetting?
What is it with these Pinellas politicians on Charlie Crist's U.S. Senate appointment short list? First C.W. Bill Young shows up to the job interview looking as if he's taking a break from mowing the lawn. And now check out the questionnaire submitted by former U.S. Rep. Mike Bilirakis, R-Tarpon Springs -- hand-scribbled like he filled it out while driving.
Bilirakis didn't even bother answering a bunch of questions -- Has he ever been party to a lawsuit? Has he ever managed any business enterprise? Has he given any speeches, received any honors. Bilirakis wouldn't even identify his hobbies. Huh? Hard not to conclude that Bilirakis either doesn't want the job or doesn't think he's really under consideration.
