McCollum leads Sink by 9 in Florida chamber poll

Attorney General Bill McCollum leads Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink 43-34 percent in the governor's race, according to a new Florida Chamber of Commerce poll. Twenty-two percent are undecided.

The survey of 605 likely voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

"Though both candidates have similar name identification ratings, Attorney General McCollum continues to hold the lead in this race, partly because of the significant crossover appeal among Democrats,'' said Marian Johnson, the chamber's vice president of political affairs. "Florida is now a purple state and considering we are 15 months away from the election, we expect these numbers to fluctuate and tighten."
