Chamber poll: Bill McCollum 42, Alex Sink 35

We've heard some Buzz about very interesting Marco Rubio vs. Charlie Crist numbers in a new Florida Chamber of Commerce poll, but alas the Chamber is not releasing such numbers from the Oct. 8-10 survey of 605 likely voters by Cherry Communications. What the Chamber did release shows Republicans have improved in a generic ballot match-up since August, with 40 percent of voters saying they  would vote for a Republican candidate compared to 38 percent in August, and 32 percent saying  they would vote for a Democrat compared to 36 percent in August.

42 percent said they would vote for Bill McCollum for governor and 35 percent Alex Sink (In August it was 43 percent to 34 percent). Sixty-two percent approved of Charlie Crist's job performance, and 28 percent disapproved. (It was 67/27 in August.)

Ninety-one percent of those had health insurance for their family, and 52 percent disapproved of the Obama-supported health care plan before Congress, and 38 percent approved.
