The state GOP is determined to cast Democratic gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink as a closet leftie, refusing to speak out on politically dicey issues such as the public option health plan. The latest subject is the so-called card check proposal aka Employee Free Choice Act.

Bill McCollum: “While voters are perplexed by Sink’s silence, a quick look at who’s funding her campaign makes it crystal clear.  Sink is siding with the unions and their bosses – they know where she stands.   On government-run health care Sink is with the left wing unions.  On getting rid of secret ballots, she is once again with the left wing unions funding her campaign.  In her silence, Sink speaks volumes, and voters deserve better.”

Adam Hasner: Florida is a Right to Work state and Floridians deserve to know where Alex Sink is on Senator Richter’s and my efforts to preserve the right to a secret ballot in workplace elections.  Is she willing to join us and take the side of protecting the rights of workers, protecting small businesses and protecting jobs?

Jim Greer: “If the Governor of Florida doesn’t need to weigh in on protecting the right to vote and preventing a government takeover of the health care industry, who does?  I guess the left wing union bosses and trial lawyers funding the Sink Campaign will be calling the shots from the Governor’s Mansion, since Alex Sink can’t be bothered to become educated enough to take a stand on basic issues, like free and fair elections, health care, or property tax relief.
