Crist saw Tebow crying, and he sympathizes

Like millions of sports fans, Gov. Charlie Crist said he saw the video of Gator quarterback crying on the sideline against Alabama Saturday night as he watched his team's dream of a repeat championship disappear.

"I did. I did," Crist said. 'I certainly can understand it. He's put his heart and soul into another great season for the University of Florida, and how can you not have that kind of passion when you've put so much effort into it? I think he's a great Floridian, and he's much more of a great human being than he is a quarterback, in my humble opinion."

In another Tebow-related development, Crist said he has spoken with the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars about the possibility of the team drafting the hometown Tebow to spur ticket sales which are down so much that there is speculation the Jags might leave Florida. "Not a bad idea," Crist described the Jags' management's view of a draft-Tebow strategy.
