That Jim Greer stepping down as GOP Chairman rumor
Anyone else notice how quiet state GOP Chairman Jim Greer - and his critics - have been lately? So quiet that it sounded plausible yesterday when Jordan Raynor spread the rumor via Twitter that Greer was poised to step down.
State party spokeswoman Katie Betta says that's nonsense. "There is absolutely no truth to it."
And Lisa Greer, the chairman's wife, commented on FaceBook: "My husband is not going anywhere, he has the full support of the Governor, the Senate and the House and many State Committee Members who know what a good job he's done over the last three years."
Which prompted this FaceBook comment from our own Lucy Morgan: "Sounds like what Bobby Bowden's wife said last month."
