Here is the Florida GOP's 2009 financial statement for the state party's core operations (the administrative side, as opposed to the political side). Chairman Jim Greer suggested it was an outdated document that doesn't reflect reality.

UPDATE: And the state GOP sent this statement in response: The attached document is one of many working budget documents and does not reflect all of the income received or the expenditures incurred by the Republican Party of Florida in 2009. The document was created at the request of Vice Chairman Cox. Mr. Cox is the only member of the committee who received the document and he was informed that it is not a complete representation of the Republican Party of Florida’s financial situation. A complete representation of the Party’s financial position can be found in our financial reports filed with the Division of Elections, which show not only that the Party has raised more than 8 million in 2009, but also that we are currently operating under a surplus.

UPDATE 2: Allen Cox responds: Aggregate funds received and reported by RPOF represent the funds of House, Senate, Cabinet, Governor and other monies which are deposited with RPOF for the benefit of the respective campaigns and candidates, as are aggregate expenses reported. The core administration expenses of RPOF have been approximately $4.0 million in deficit for calendar 2009, due to excessive travel, staffing, and consultant expenses. The RPOF core operations has repeatedly failed to be managed in a fiscally responsible manner. Simply put, spending by RPOF is out of control with no checks and balances, even though the accounting reports may be accurate.

A $4.0 million deficit is simply outrageous, and unsustainable.
