Crist has message for Obama in Tampa
Gov. Charlie Crist plans to meet President Obama when Air Force One touches down in Tampa. And he says he has a message for him: "To express to him my disappointment that there hasn't been more bipartisanship on his behalf, which is what he talked about a lot last year."
This coming from a Republican governor who went out of his way to avoid Obama during his last visit to Florida and someone who, as a U.S. Senate candidate, has moved to the right in his rhetoric.
Crist said he'll also talk to Obama about the high speed rail, a project Florida helped secure through bi-partisan lobbying. "It means tens of thousands of jobs at a time when we need it most," Crist said. "It's a great win for Florida. It's why we held a special session (on SunRail) -- to create jobs for Florida."
Crist said he'll also encourage Obama to approve Florida's "race to the top" education funding application.
