Crist combines bill-signing tour on state plane with campaign stop

Airplane_l If there were ever a signature move of Gov. Charlie Crist's administration, it is turning a bill singing into an all-day media feast.

In Tallahassee this morning, Crist had a ceremonial bill signing to delay the unemployment compensation tax increase then flew around the state to promote it, hitting Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and ending in Miami.

The trip intersected with his other job these days -- running for U.S. Senate. The governor has a 6 p.m. fundraiser on Fisher Island. Coincidence? Nope.
