Alan Grayson plans to challenge legality of Cruz's ability to be president
U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson says he'll file a lawsuit challenging Ted Cruz's eligibility to be president, stepping into the "birther" discussion that's surfaced thanks to Donald Trump.
Grayson, who is running for Senate, told the Hill there are "legitimate arguments" on both sides of the discussion. He said he wouldn't file a suit until Cruz became nominee. Experts have said Canadian-born Cruz is eligible. But the issue has come up from Trump, who was asked about it in interview, and from John McCain.
