Alberto Martinez leaves Rubio's shop for public affairs job
WASHINGTON - Alberto Martinez, one of Marco Rubio’s longest serving aides, has left the Senate office to join a Republican consulting firm.
Martinez was announced today as executive vice president for Targeted Victory’s new public affairs practice. Martinez has been with Rubio since his Florida speaker days and recently became senior advisor to Rubio after a stint as chief of staff.
“Adding Alberto to our team underscores our commitment to serving as the premier corporate and political consulting agency on the right,” Targeted Victory said in a news release.
The firm is run by Zac Moffatt, a veteran of Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential run known for digital savvy. With Donald Trump in the mix, the firm found a home with Paul Ryan, helping with digital marketing and fundraising, and worked on several U.S. Senate campaigns.
