Baseball, apple pie and Rick Scott
Gov. Rick Scott was in Lakeland today hyping the importance of Spring Training to the state. He also got his hands dirty as part of one of his "Let's Get to Work" Days.
Scott and baseball go together like ... well, baseball and apple pie.
Scott was a former part owner of the Texas Rangers, says he was approached to buy the Kansas City Royals but declined (if Buzz's memory serves) and has thrown out a few first pitches across the state (to mixed reactions).
