Capitol Buzz: Five things to watch today in Tallahassee

3

March

There's still no budget agreement between the House and Senate, which means the appropriations chairmen could still have a public meeting. And there's another marathon day on the floors of both chambers.

* Although there's no money going into Gov. Rick Scott's pet economic incentive program, the Senate Appropriations Committee will consider policy changes to Enterprise Florida.

* The Senate Appropriations Committee will also consider a tax-cut package, which includes sales tax holidays that could be on the chopping block with a smaller-than-expected sum set aside in the state budget for tax cuts.

* The House will vote on sweeping abortion restrictions that would add new rules for doctors and clinics. Similar rules enacted in Texas were contested in the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this week.

* Senators are expected to vote on the Pastor Protection Act granting immunity from lawsuits for religious groups that refuse to take part in same-sex weddings. Gay rights groups reached a compromise with conservative lawmakers on the language, which the House passed Wednesday.

* The House will vote on an expansion to medical marijuana, which allows terminal patients to use the drug and provides for additional growers' licenses if there are ever 250,000 people using the program.
