Clinton campaign confident it will prevail in Florida
Hillary Clinton’s campaign remains confident about Florida, acknowledging a tight race but one that will be won by superior organization and by tapping into the state’s growing diversity.
That’s the takeaway from a “50 day” out memo sent to supporters Monday night.
“Four years ago, a neck and neck race between President Obama and Mitt Romney prompted pollster Nate Silver to suggest that Obama should concede Florida, given the expansive ground effort and steep investment in advertisement required to compete in the state. But President Obama won the state by less than 74,000 vote - or under a one percent margin,” it reads.
Come November, we’ll see if this was spin or an insightful take on how the race is shaping up.
