With $20M, Romney shoots big for primary
Mitt Romney took the presidential election by surprise Monday by posting just over $20-million for the first quarter, money he'll dump entirely into the primary. He also lent his campaign $2.35-million, putting the total at $23-million.
It's an impressive figure considering Romney has been in the shadow of John McCain and Rudy Giuliani. McCain raised $12.5-million for the quarter and Giuliani $15-million.
