285k more Democratic votes so far



The Democrats' latest tally: Of the 3.84-million ballots cast through Saturday, Democrats accounted for 285,443 more votes than Republicans. Another 635,806 independents had also voted.

Of the 1.56-million absentee ballots returned, nearly 49 percent came from Republicans and 36 percent from Democrats. Of the nearly 2.28-million early votes cast, 52 percent came from Democrats and 30.1 percent from Republicans. All told, then more than 45 percent of the vote has been from Democrats and 38 percent from Republicans.

This from the Herald: "Through Thursday, Democrats cast 46 percent of the 3.4 million early and absentee votes in Florida, while Republicans cast 38 percent. That's a big shift since 2004, when Democrats were outvoted 44 percent to 41 percent by Republicans in early and absentee ballots, according to a study of Florida voting data."
