527 attacks Campbell
A newly formed 527 bankrolled by the Republican Attorneys General Association and WellCare, a Tampa health-care provider, is attacking Democrat AG candidate state Sen. Skip Campbell in a pair of radio ads this week.
Both ads focus on bills Campbell, of Tamarac, sponsored: One that regulates the payday loan business, and the other, the infamous telephone rate hike bill Campbell sponsored in 2003.
Campbell defends both pieces of legislation. The payday loan bill is actually regarded as a model for the nation, Campbell says, and the telephone bill, Campbell insists, increased competition. More in the Times tomorrow.
