Interesting to see Sen. Carey Baker, R-Eustis, working key Republican activists here in Minnesota. The Buzz is he's already won commitments of support from several Tampa Bay Republican leaders for his expected run for commissioner of agriculture and consumer services in 2010. Other Republicans seen as potential contenders for the seat being vacated by Charles Bronson: state Reps. Marty Bowen and Baxter Troutman, and U.S. Rep. Adam Putnam.
