Attorney General Pam Bondi, speaking after the Cabinet meeting today at the Florida State Fair:

“We have been extremely active in the negotiations the entire time. We were determined to never walk away from the negotiating table, which was very important because Florida has been part of the executive committee. So we never walked away from the negotiating table but we were determined to get the absolute best result for the citizens of Florida because as you all know, Florida was one of the hardest-hit states in the country.

“So we are very pleased that we’ve received approximately $8 billion in relief for Florida distressed homeowners.”
