AIF's advice for Crist
Associated Industries of Florida has some advice for Gov.-elect Charlie Crist that is not likely to be heeded.
AIF is pushing a candidate to run the state health care agency: Dr. Ben Graber, a Democrat and a former state legislator and Broward County commissioner. The ob-gyn lost a state senate bid in 2006.
"No one is more passionate about health care than Dr. Graber," writes AIF president and CEO Barney Bishop.
AIF's letter is one of hundreds sent to Crist from groups and individuals all over the state, offering advice to the incoming governor. Crist is eyeing a number of candidates to run the Agency for Health Care Administration, including Republican state Rep. Holly Benson of Pensacola.
