Alex Scott and Rick Sink?

We've pointed out the similarities between the top two candidates for governor: Democrat Alex Sink and Republican Rick Scott both trumpet their business background as their biggest political asset, both are tied to about 6,000 job losses in the state the '90s, both want to paint the other as a fraud.

Hernando County's Brian P. Moore, a former Socialist who won 23 percent of the vote in a Democratic gubernatorial primary this year against Sink, picked up on this theme in his endorsement of independent candidate Farid Khavari. From the press release:

Moore, by accident, brought down the house, when he opened his endorsement speech with preliminary critical remarks of both major party candidates, Democratic nominee Alex Sink and Republican primary winner, Rick Scott.  Moore identified them as 'Alex Scott and Rick Sink.' ...

Moore added that "there is more truth than fiction" to his verbal stumble with both major party candidates "coming from the same mold, with the same old ideas and unworkable solutions, and both are recipients of the same big money from corporations and special interests."
