Alex Sink could lose before election day
Remember how in 2008 Florida Democrats every day touted the number of Democrats who had voted early compared to the number of Republicans? This year, you can hear cricket chirps when you ask the party about early voting. The numbers look lousy for Democrats compared to 2006, much less lousy compared to 2006.
Still, it's likely 40 percent or more of the votes will be cast before election day, and the way things are going it's possible Sink could win Nov. 2 but still lose because of Scott's advantage in early votes and absentee votes. Out of about 1.6-million ballots cast so far, we're told more than 250,000 more Republicans have cast their ballot than Democrats.
No, we don't know how they voted, but that's a tough number for any Democrat running in Florida this year.
