Alex Sink hires new chief for foundation
Alex Sink's FloridaNEXT foundation promoting business development in Florida has not exactly been a model of stability in its leadership, with longtime Sink adviser Jim Cassady stepping in and out and in of the top job. Now Sink has hired Ned Pope, Chief Financial Officer Sink's former external affairs director, as the New FloridaNEXT president. Pope most recently was vice president of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Project Management for the Collins Center for Public Policy, which is closing because of financial problems.
“Ned is a star among Florida’s emerging generation,” FloridaNEXT chair Sink said in a statement. “And he’ll use his tremendous experience, energy, and enthusiasm to move the foundation to establish new, meaningful, action-oriented initiatives.”
