Alex Sink's celeb fundraisers

While the U.S. Senate candidates are debating tonight at Nova, Democratic gubernatorial candidate will be at the Miami-Dade home of trial lawyer Jeremy Alters, in a $5,000-per-person reception headlined by Miami Heat's Chris Bosch and actor Gabrielle Union.

After tomorrow's debate she'll be at the Miami Beach home of DGA treasurer Alex Heckler at a fundraiser headlined by Bill Clinton. The former president has mostly been helping candidates who backed Hillary Clinton (Sink was neutral, though her husband publicly supported Mrs. Clinton over Barack Obama), but there loads of connections between Sink and the Clintons. Heckler fellow uber fundraiser Chris Korge were top money-raisers for Hillary, and enthusiastic Sink backers; Former Sink co-finance directors Ben Pollara and Marley Wilkes, are partners with Heckler and alums of the Clinton campaign; and Sink's finance chairman, Richard Swann, is father-in-law to former Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe.
