Allen West defends tea party, may quit Congressional Black Caucus

Rep. Allen West in an interview today on Fox & Friends responded to the suggestion from an African-American member of Congress that some of his tea party aligned colleagues would like to see blacks "hanging from a tree.” The remarks by Rep. Andre Carson, D-Indiana, were made during a Congressional Black Caucus event earlier this month in Miami.
West, who is a member of the CBC, said he may quit the group and defended the tea party.
